Kids on TV

Hosted by local kids, the KidsKorner segment airs every other month on “Columbia Matters” and features youth-related topics. If you’re between the ages of 5-12, KidsKorner is your ultimate resource to learn about area events and contests. Plus, you’ll get to go behind-the-scenes of cool places like the National Aquarium in Baltimore and find out about exciting volunteer opportunities, like Prepare for Success, which collects school supplies for children in need in Howard County. In addition to the segment on “Columbia Matters,” KidsKorner features quarterly socials, an e-Newsletter and a web site just for kids at CAmonthly.org/KidsKorner.

You can apply to be a guest host on KidsKorner! Practice your public speaking skills, gain self confidence – and be a TV star for a day!

These could include highlights of local, youth-oriented activities; places; school, sports or community group accomplishments; or another kid-friendly topic. Be creative and have fun!
